Heat shield, starter, BBO, hi torque

WTB the factory heat shield add on that was put on starters. For 72 455.

No idea where to buy one of those.
But have you tried wrapping the starter with aluminum duct tape?
I used to chew through starters regularly before I started doing this.
It really helps deflect heat.

Believe it or not partsplace has them if you're not looking for NOS. I found one on a pile of parts from a 71 Olds 98.
