I'm removing the Edelbrock Performer and 750 Demon and installing a stock intake and Quadrajet on my 72 U code but I'm missing some hardware. I'm needing the carburetor bolts, intake bolts, throttle linkage bracket, correct springs, choke tube and fuel line. If you see anything else I will need please let me know.
So far I have the carb bolts and throttle bracket.
No direct answer to your question, I offer support for your choice. Friend’s 72 442 w/ warmed over 455, removed Demon, dialed in a Qjet on his Torker. Dropped a half second off his quarter mile times and 50% better mpg, all the while raving about his drivability. I can’t account for the tune of the Demon but it’s tough to beat a Qjet in the all around competition for a DD or street strip car.
Funny thing is “we” made the neolds.com website, me vs him leaving the line at Lebanon Valley.
(ya, I got him)

I asked my mechanic buddy to help me tune this Demon and he said it was easy, take it off and put the Quadrajet on. This is a factory Ucode matching numbers car and I want to return it to stock/stockish. I don't mind an aluminum intake but I want all of the OAI parts to fit and function as they should and with this intake they don't. Also want to get rid of the MSD parts but that will be next. It "might" affect performance a bit but after having a slightly modded Grand National this thing will never be nearly as fast so I just want a good reliable cruiser that looks good when I pop the hood.

I would definitely keep the MSD; just change to an 8529 Pro-Billet Ready-to-Run distributor, which has a vacuum advance. This is critical for better fuel economy. You can use a MSD 8442 cap & rotor kit to keep the stock appearance. It accepts stock type plug wires and has a "window" like the factory one.
I was going to put an HEI in it if I go with the cast iron intake or a W30 replica. All the MSD parts need to come out anyway because the wiring is terrible and the parts are visible. To correct it would mean completely removing it so I figured I'd just leave it out and sell it to recoup a little money. Again, this is no race car and I would imagine any performance loss wouldn't even be noticeable.

I'm pretty sure that an HEI won't clear the rear intake runner of either of those intakes.
Are you looking for Factory bolts or Hardware store bolts ? I have a coil bracket chrome and plain coil bracket and bolts
I want factory bolts and hardware as I want to go back to original. The aluminum intake has generic bolts that I will send with the intake when it sells. Also a chrome bracket for the MSD coil that will go with it too.
If you do decide to go with a stock manifold, HEI and Quadrajet, I have an off-set breather that was made for the 75-76 455's with HEI. Just let me know.

One more thing I never even thought of. If I keep this car I'll get a stock points distributor. Seriously considering selling it at this point.
