Jim:
I have gas pedal assembly in my parts car that I will not be using. The car is not at my house, but I can get some pics for you on Saturday and post them here for you to see.

sounds good it needs to support the turbo 400 switch you should see it. You will need a 3/8 or 7/16 socket with extension. Thanks

Bob Jim again are the 350 and the 400 gas pedal the same or do I need that too?

gas pedal assembly for TH400 w/downshift bracket.

Jim:
I checked the '71 Cutlass assembly manual and the 455cid/TH400 cars require an extra mounting plate for the electrical downshift switch. My parts car is a 350cid/TH350 and doesn't have this extra mounting plate for the switch. Hopefully ROCKETMAN can help you with this part. See attached pdf drawing.

The "gas pedal" itself is the same; however, as shown in the above illustration, the "levers" are different. The T-350 has an additional eyelet that the downshift cable attaches to. I'm not sure if that will interfere with the operation of the downshift switch. I have the complete T-400 pedal assemblies. I will get one out and send you pics via email. Thanks, Bob.

The TH350 bellcrank arm can be converted to TH400 configuration by simply removing the tab for the kickdown cable. Cut or grind it off. The switch and mounting bracket are available from repro houses.
