The convert is a fully boxed frame. The hardtop is not.

as John pointed out the convertible has a boxed section. It is not the full frame it is the center straight section. If you have one you can add your boxed section to another frame or box one in. 64 and 65 are the same frames as per Hollander interchange.

Stick shift and auto are different as well. I have two 65 frames one stick shift and one auto.

It is interesting that when Buick came out with the Skylark Gran Sport in 1965, they were all on convertible frames. Wonder why Olds didn't do that. I bet Pontiac didn't either.
