Wow. I never knew these existed. I can understand why they are so hard to find. Good luck.

They don't. Unfortunately the 260 is the red headed stepchild of Oldsmobile Engines.

I know a 260 is not a performance engine...just to cruise around with really not that bad of an engine...

I don't know if the SP2P for a 350 would bolt up, but the 260 ports may not line up. I had a 260 years ago and I think the exhaust ports were smaller than other small block olds engines. If the intake ports are too then it may cause problems with air/gas flow. I guess that's a question for one of the guru's. Will the typical small block intakes fit a 260?

There was one on FB marketplace a while back for short money.
They are not easy to come by! Only way to get a 4bbl on a 260.
I had mine shipped from AZ to New England thanks to a great seller.
Keep looking.

Instead of a name branded intake, maybe consider the A5 intake off the 307s. All you're doing as far as "performance" is taking 30lb off the front end of the car. If you're really trying hard, maybe consider some performance springs as well as some Ford or other aftermarket 1.7 pedestal mount roller rockers and it might get out of its own way.

Before doing any of this, highly recommend swapping in a 3.23, if not a 3.42 or 3.73 gear. Buddy has a 305 Caprice and it can actually do a burnout with the 3.23 swapped in.

Dan, I'm pretty sure that the oem 260 intake is aluminum.

The SP2P was a child of the oil embargo 1970s. Tiny runners intended to improve velocity and atomization for better fuel economy. While the 260 has the same architecture and bolt patterns as do all other SBO motors, the tiny 260 ports cause a huge mismatch if you try to bolt a normal 4bbl intake onto it (they only came with 2bbl carbs). The SP2P ports are nearly a perfect match for the 260 heads (so imagine what this did on the intended 350). That's a 260 intake gasket on the SP2P in the second photo.
