Door Handle Mechanism
Things were going too good putting the vent window assembly back in my 63 F-85
Not entirely sure on the name of this but it’s the assembly that opens the door from inside that the handle connects to.
The “spring” snapped on mine and now it doesn’t return down. Anyone have one of these, or know what it’s actually called and I can try searching online too?

GM calls them a "Control Assy". They're in Group 10.500. I can't help you with finding a replacement though...
I do have one favor to ask - what is the size of the screw that holds the handle to the control assy? I guessing either 6-32 or 8-32. Thanks!

Sorry, I should have explained - the parts books for GM cars is divided into 15 sections, covering all the parts to a car. Within each group are numerous sub groups. Group 10 is for doors & controls. 10.500 is the sub group for the control assys.
From my parts book It looks like your control is used on '61 to '63 F85s, but there are others on the forums with more knowledge of those cars, so I'm hoping they will offer a response.

I show 4840786 for RH for front 61-63 F85, Cutlass Coupe, 4 door sedan & station wagon; and 4834043 for RH for the paddle type lever 61-63 F85, Cutlass Coupe, convertible, Jetfire.
No numbers shown for LH.
There are several people here that have posted complete parts & illustration books in pdf form. Try searching in the subforums, not sure where they are.
