Interesting terminology...

perhaps if you describe what this part does, or connects to, or the size/ shape/ color/ flavor... it would help.

"Goes on the Frammis and keeps the hunkle from overcranking when cold" or whatnot...

I probably have one if it's what I think it is. Might even be able to find it.

dashpot update

a dashpot valve is about 2 dia. has a plastic post on one side. mounted on a bracket. it pushes on the carb. idle lever. used on cars with ac for higher idle.

This is the dashpot on my '70, P/N 401159.
Hope this photo helps in identifying the part you are needing.

I think I can come up with one from a 70 if it is the same. It would be cleaned, painted, bracket and all. $50 shipped if I can find it.

IIRC, '68 to '70 dashpot should be the same.

Looks like I don't have a good one. If you just want something to be there for looks I would let this one go for $25 shipped. I am not sure what this one came off of so I am not even sure it is correct for a 69.

What is this "Oldsmobile parts department" of which you speak?! A strange and wondrous land where new parts grow in abundance?

:-)
