Correct Carb Needed

I'm having a '69 H/O restored (original engine, intake, etc.).
The # on the carb I have is 7028251. The correct carb # is 7029251.
I've been informed the correct carb was available on '69 455 4bbl engines and was not exclusive to the '69 H/O.
Thus I'm on a quest to find a correct carb. The build date of my car is the 4th week of May.
If anyone has a such an item, please advise.
Once I've obtained it, if anyone is interested in my carb (in fact I have 2 of them), let me know.
Thanks.

The 7029251 carb is the correct carb for your '69 H/O. The "9" in the carb part number means it is for a model year 1969 Oldsmobile. The "8" in the carb you have is for a model year 1968 Olds H/O with A/C and the '68 4-4-2 (excluding the W-30) with an automatic transmission. If you find a 7029251 carb, you should be able to sell your 7028251 carb for about the same price you pay for a 7029251 carb.

The 7029251 carb was used on the '69 H/O (both manual and automatic transmissions) as well as the '69 4-4-2 with automatic transmissions (excluding the W-30 and W-32 variants).

I think I was too wordy on my initial post (bad habit of mine) :-(.

As ROCKETMAN269V noted, I'm needing the 7029251 carb.

rcorrigan5, thanks for your post, which confirms my understanding.

To clarify, 7029251 was used on all RWD 455 motors (ST and AT), plus all non-W 400 AT motors in the 1969 model year. There are a boatload of these out there, since every Delta and Ninety Eight with a 455 4bbl motor came with a '251 carb.

I have a core if you want it. The bottom plate is stuck. Inlet threads are excellent.

Thanks for the great input and advice.
I've posted a close-up photo of the # on each carb in the "Major Builds" section.
It's interesting one has "1068" and the other has "RJ" next to the carb #.
