Chilton Manuals

I need the Chilton repair/rebuild manual for the 1968 Olds Cutlass S. I have purchased others on line, and they are not helpful at all. I have tried to get them locally (Spokane, Wa), but no one has them. I even tried Ebay, and they don't, so if anyone has these Chilton Manuals, I will purchase them.

Check e-bay for a 68 chassis service manual. That will be the one to put all others to shame.

You might look for a Motors Manual. Its a big blue book.

I agree with tru-blue - there is no substitute for a chassis shop manual.

As I wrote to another poster just a few days ago, why on earth would you want a low-quality Chilton's manual with missing and/or incorrect information, when you could have a high-quality Chassis Service Manual?

An original paper copy of the factory Chassis Service Manual can be found on ebay for under $20. Don't waste your time or money on anything else.

As has been stated, if you plan on keeping the vehicle and working on it, there is nothing better than the Oldsmobile Chassis Service Manual for the year of the vehicle. Sometime the body manual can be helpful also, but the chassis manual is the star of the show.
