RAG, I thought there might be an issue with the length after doing some reading. I'm not 100% sure that this is the original rearend for this car but the axles measure 29.250".
Thank you for the information.

just to be clear, the 66 assembly is a direct bolt in but is longer outside the mounting points.if you are not running real fat tires or deep rims it's not a problem.the 67 -72 will fit also but spring mounts are different.jc

We put a '68 3.91 posi under my '65 Cutlass, without any issues with the spring mounts. I'm not sure what you're referring to.

the 66 and earlier rear coils are bolted to a pad on the housing,so you need the style springs that go with the housing.the bottom of the 65 coil doesn't fit over the later perch.

You did not say unless I missed it what ratio you are looking for? You said axle are you looking for a full rear end or just an axle shaft?

I have a few 65's 66's and 67 rear ends.

I am pretty sure I have a rear end I can get you an axle shaft from. Be sometime later the coming week when I can get to it.
Email me direct at lemoldsnut@aol.com
or call west coast times 541-815-4363

Should be able to get to it on Thursday or Friday
