BB intake and carb

I need a cheap intake and carb setup for my Burban. Im open to ideas. Its just a driver/tow. Im putting a 425 in it and i dont have an intake or carb that would work good for this. All i have around is go fast stuff.

I need a Dual plane intake. I dont care if its dirty, been repaired, or painted. Just in working order and cheap.

I want to run a 750 edelbrock, but i might run a Qjet if it is really nice and works great. Maybe a 650 Holley. I just need something that works and cheap.

Let me know what you got and how much. Thanks

Need something fast. I have a $300 budget so it doesnt have to be that cheap. Any good working 650-750 carb, and i need a dual plane intake.

I have a nice BB Holley Street Dominator i can trade. Its in the for sale section.

I got a '65 2BBL 425 Intake if you are desperate. I am also looking for a decent priced 4BBL intake as well for my 425. Good Luck.

The HSD is designed for higher RPM usage, correct? Less emphasis on torque... Taking into account rear end and cam selection of course.

Yeah higher then a dual plane. Its similar to a Torker. Some say its better then the Torker, some dont. It ran great on my 468, better then the performer. I didnt feel any loss in torque. Sh*t i still couldnt hook! The only reason im selling it is because i just got this setup.

If you could find one, I'd just use a stock 4bbl intake, and trim the fat a little bit.
I only have small block intakes here.

Also, there's always those adapter spacers that convert the 2bbl manifold into a 4bbl flange.

I remember you having to do that on those 2 ram chargers.

The HSD would work, and it's free since you already have it.

Then use the 300dollars for a carb. Decent carb is always the hard part.

Ive got so much other junk to work on, that i only really wanna do this once. Im shooting for the best that i can get with what i got. The Holley just isnt gonna give me what i need for this. I never thought i would want one. But im looking for a Holley 650 spread bore. I might have a line on a cheap Dual port offy with a Q jet flange. I hope that works out.

What about you????? You wanna take it up a notch? Swap me for your performer?

Oh and i also have your 1-3/4 headers here. SteveO dropped them off with some other junk so i can use them for mock up and see if they fit. Just one of 3 sets im gonna try! lol Boy its gonna be fun. Wanna come out next week some time and roll around on the blacktop? I ordered a new cam, oil pump, and gaskets for the 425. I hope i have an intake and carb by the beginning of the week to brake in the cam and start the swap.

I didn't know you had all those fancy new parts.
I still think that intake is really nice and you should use it.
It's a truck, and that intake design wouldn't ill affect a motor with a torque cam too much. You have a lot of gear and only 3 speeds anyway.

Let me know how the mock up goes, I am going to need those back soon.
I still have to bend some new brake lines for the front of the delta, and need to check the clearances when I toss those headers back in.
I did the rears already, but that's because they were the easy ones . The original 1980's brake lines were looking pretty sad.
