How about:
http://www.summitracing.com/search/S...lter-Adapters/
http://motors.shop.ebay.com/i.html?_...filter+adapter
http://www.jegs.com/c/Oil-System_Oil...10467/10002/-1

There's no shortage of them out there. Just google "Oil Filter Adapter" I know you don't want to relocate the filter? Isn't there all kinds of room for an adapter on a 56? I'm thinking that the extra line length would also give you about an extra quart of oil to play with - keeping your oil cleaner longer.

I got mine from David Homstad OFA Enterprises 7720 Upper 164th St Rosemount, MN 55068 http://webpages.charter.net/dhomstad 952 432 3596
Very well made with excellent instructions. A pleasure to change oil now!
