Hey guys,

So a local kid in the neighborhood stopped by my house a few weeks back with a beat up 81 Cutlass he bought on CL for $1200. The car is rough and he bought it without someone going with him to check out mechanical. This bit him in the A$$ because over the weekend the 307 already took a crap. Looks like a blown head gasket among other things, when cranking the engine over there is some ungodly grinding noises. I checked and the starter seems to be engaging properly, I am positive it's internal. Long story short I told him i'd ask around for a running Olds 350 to drop in. preferably local in Chicago area as this kid works at the local gas station and DD so he probably doesn't have the cash on hand to ship. It doesnt need to be pretty but confirmed a good runner would be a huge plus.
