Nice! Good luck with that cable though. I've been looking for both of them for years and nothing. IIRC 7172 were the only years they decided to go with a 2 piece cable. Based on their availability I don't think it was a highly sought after option.

I just met someone on this site (bigrig12) who has this in his 71 SX. His T44 is not working but I don't know why. Suspect it's come loose at the front latch. That was the first time I've seen one of these OEM 2 piece connector cables intact.
You guys should talk and discuss options. Just curious, why would you want a 72 cable for a 70 VC?

I'll keep a look out. Please start a thread of the 72 resto so we can see your progress. Nice home page photo BTW. I see you have some OEM parts that some folks were looking for lately - especially the NOS trunk rocket.

Does this have the lock lever and housing attached?I have some misc pieces I've been storing for years.My stuff is pretty nice but I'm not sure if I have the corrrect parts.Bill
