72 442 Dash Steering Column Bezel
Whoooaa
For a second I thought you'd come up with a new type of boomerang!!. Couple of thoughts for you. I know you've been upside down on the bottom of the world as you wrote this. These are metal pieces, so color should not be an issue. I would suggest that as long as it doesn't have extra holes or dents, it should be ok. Bead blast, epoxy prime, light sand, psssssssssssssssssttt with some correct color black and yer done. Most of these never got touched and the location is not typically one you'd expect a lot of damage. Get one in any color and simply refinish it. These don't usually cost more than a couple of bucks. GM used thier typical interior screws for attaching. They fit the same from 1970-72. The trick is of course the cost of sending it to you. By the time you get it, it could end up looking like this:

Thanks guys......I think. I'm watching a couple on eBay. One has the correct screws with it so we'll see how it goes.
I'd say that's one boomerang that wouldn't come back.

They are made of plastic (not metal) but that shouldn't stop you from doing what Allan said. Strip it and paint it whatever color you want. They were painted from the factory over the bare, "grey" plastic whatever color the interior needed to be.
