7044559 carb 74 W30

Looking for a 74 455 carb from a W30 V-code car. Everyone strips the carb, intake manifold and air cleaner and tosses them, so I know they are out there sitting and collecting dust somewhere. Also looking for the intake manifold and dual snorkel air cleaner. If you have the intake setup, don't care about originality anymore and are willing to sell, throw me a number. Have a 73 V code dual snorkel air cleaner, open to trade.

The W30 in 1974 was on the Hurst Olds only...and they were all automatics, sounds like you have a V code, four speed 442. I have to ask, as you apparently have a collection of H/O's, did the engine call out in the vin change in 1974 so that the 455 was identified as with a "V" even in an auto equipped car?

Based on what I wrote, I'm not sure how you arrived that I have a 442 with a V code and 4 speed. I wish they would have made one in 74 but didn't, only in 73 for the Colonnades. The "V" has taken on a different set of characteristics over the years. In 74, the W30 optioned Hurst/Olds was the only car that you could get with a V code, and was available with or without AC and always had a M40 automatic trans code OX. Only 380 were made. The V in the VIN stand for the L76 high performance motor, different cam, Ka heads, intake manifold (PVC boss), carb etc than the U code L75 motor that came in the 74 Cutlass's as an option. As far as I know, and many others that I've consulted with over the years, the L76 motor was only available for a Hurst/Olds and came with the W30 option. I have not seen or heard of a V code 74 442, but who knows. There was no W25 option, it was called the Y77, and was just an L34 motor and didn't even have a Hurst shifter.

Also, I'm not 100% but the 74 Olds marine and motor home engine had Ka heads which could possibly have this high performance carb... Maybe someone can chime in on that or know's someone with a 74 GMC motor home or jet boat?

The reason that I queried that, was I knew that the V code 4speed was still available in '73, but I was unsure about '74, so you asking about a '74 V code carb threw me, as I knew all H/O's were autos.
