I am looking for a 7042250 carburetor for my 72 Cutlass Supreme. I will be sending it out for rebuild but need a decent core to start with. Pics appreciated if available.

I think there are a few on ebay. If you do not care for year correctness there are number of 7043250s there too. If you are having it rebuilt the year does not matter.

to clean it up, would you take it to the local radiator shop and hot tank it or just dunk it in something like this Chem-Dip

 

Please don't have a Quadrajet hot tanked or even chem dipped, harsh cleaning removes the original plating. Use brake cleaner or even soap and water..they're easy to clean up..
