7040250 carb needed.... again!

this is so old now! i am looking for a good 7040250 carb core. you must be willing to get me good pictures of it from all angles or i will not consider it. i will forward the pics to Sparky's carb service and if he sais to go with it i will want it shipped to him. sorry for being so picky but this has been an ongoing thing for several years. i have spent way to much money on this and gone nowhere and back to zero. i am told this is an easy carburetor to come by but have had a hard time for many years finding a good core.

Sparky is the best.
I had dinner with him on my last trip to Milwaukee.
Tell him Ron Roth said hello.
I was looking for a very difficult and or expensive part for my car
it happpened to be an antenna core.
I was told $300.00.
I was also told impossible.
One Sunday morning I Googled "Parting out 1966 Cutlass"
The first line to come up was Craigs List in Kansas City.
Parting Out 1966 Cutlass
Bought the antenna core for $15.00 .
Felt happy and guilty at the same time.
Went and bought an entire dash from the same gentleman.

Craigs list works.

You might try Mike at The Parts Place or United Carburetor in Chicago.
Ask UC for the Schiller Park number, as they've more knowledge/books on the older cars.

I have a core. I allready started loading my truck to go to the Olds Nat in Reno. If I can find it without unloading the whole truck, i'll see if I can take a photo. Not even sure it is all complete, chocke I think is missing?

i really appreciate that but Sparky needs me to find a complete one. Ron Memmer is looking for me now. he said he should have a couple good cores and if sparky don't approve of it's condition Ron will exchange it for me. i should know something from him tonight.
