I am looking for the lock and related hardware for the rear storage compartment for my vista. Also the ever elusive mint lower C pillar covers.

 

I've never seen a lock for the rear storage area? Maybe it was a dealer option?
I do have some decent/pretty nice c pillar pieces, here are a few pix. They are out of a '69 Chevy Kingswood wagon, but they look like they are the same to me? Take a look & let me know.

This is the lock in question. My hatch has the hole under the carpet and the floor has the latch, what I need is the pieces mounte on the back end of the lock cylinder and the cylinder itself.

 

I agree with Scott, I've never seen a lock there before.

My 70 VC had a lock matched to the car and original. My 71 does not have a lock. Lee

 

Wouldn't surprise me GM using a glove box or console lock in that application.
Could you pull it out fpr a better pic, so we could compare??

 

I was able to get an nos lock from ebay but it is listed for a 66. According to my parts book(1985 version) the # is the same but without an original to compare to I'm not sure. It only came with the cylinder, cover and the casing no tumblers and no pawl. It looks like a door lock with a different case. I left it at the shop but tomorrow I will put up a couple of pics.
