Hello,
Would anyone know where I can get the "link" (that what the Olds service manual calls it) that connects the netural switch arm to the shifter?

If you have a pic please send it. I think I know what you are talking about but just in case can you load a pic. I have a buddy that has a few dual gate parts shifters that he uses to rebuild others with and he may have it.

 

Neutral switch on the 70 is on the shifter.

Do you mean the lock out rod? Goes from bottom of column to the equalizer rod?

Thanks guys, it is either item 17 or 18 on the drawing you sent from the Olds service manual. It attaches the flex rod from the netural / back up lights switch to the shifter handle.

The 70 dual-gate neutral safety switch and linkage are all available new.Scott Schmitz,in Ottawa,Ohio,should have the linkage.I believe that is who I got mine from when doing dual-gate-console restorations.Some of the restoration vendors should have them as well.
