70-72 tilt column shift tube

Looking for the shift tube for 70-72 Cutlass tilt column in good shape.

I don't have one for sale but I THINK the tilt and non-tilt shift tubes are the same thing.....at least for the year range you're looking for. That might make it a lot easier (and cheaper) to locate a donor. Plenty of "junk" non-tilt columns floating around out there and column shift or floor shift shouldn't make any difference either.

I'm not 100% sure on this but it's worth investigating. If I had a tilt column here that was blown apart I could make the comparison for you. I've rebuilt/restored both and my recollection is they are likely the same piece......sure, they "install" differently (slip fit vs. "press" fit) but I have a feeling the part itself is the same thing.

Pic below is what I'm calling the "shift tube".....

This came out of a non-tilt column, If I remember right it was a 70-72. If it would work for you its available and would ship from Oregon. John
