I couldn't find my vacuum pump to test it yet. I picked one up at Harbor Freight today but when I got home I found its defective and doesn't work! I'll take it back this weekend and try again.

 

If John's doesn't work out, I have one; will also need to verify that it holds vacuum. Thanks, Bob.
