14 by 6 trim rings are 2 inches wide per another member on here.
Don't think those will work unless I am mistaken they look like 14 by 7

Lol I just ran out to check, the left is a 14x6 the right rim is a 14x7 both have a 3" trim ring on them.
I wonder if there are two versions of the 14x6 wasn't one able to clear disc brakes ? I am not that familiar w them but the two in the pic are 14x6 and 14x7.

Nbd I will put them in the classifieds, but I would be interested to know if there are 2" trim rings that go right to the d ring like those.

Just a heads-up regarding trim rings for 6" wheels and trim rings for 7" wheels of that era. First, for model year 1969, the A body used the 6" rim. Second, the pictures above are 7" rims. For 7" rims, the opening for the tire valve stem is closed - a "race track" sort of shape. And lastly, the valve stem opening on trim rings for 6" rims is open - a "U" sort of shape. I've attached pictures of a trim ring for the 6" rim of that era for comparison.

Randy

Good info thanks

Do you know was there more than 1 version of the 6" rim, or did the smaller depth trim ring not extend all the way to the d rings?

The side by side pic shows a 14-6 and a 14-7 rim it's stamped on each Rim so I know there is no mistake there. Maybe the 14-6 is a later date rim ?

Correct. For '68-'69, the first thing to look for is the "open ended" hole. The rings are much shallower. '68s have more of a brushed finish and the '69s are shiny (polished). The seems to be a second type (still shiny) used in '69 too with the the outer rim part being a bit different as are the clips, I believe.
Randy, I think those are correct '68 rings and are very hard to find. I know there are repops like that (attached), but are shiny and are correct for '69 as far as I can tell.

Yes. '68 and '69 SSII are the same 14 x 6 wheel, they went to 14 x 7 in '70. In '68 the rim around the openings was painted silver and in '69 they started the stainless bezel trim.

Here is the one, not sure what year it is for. The pix were taken a few weeks ago & I'll have to look at it again to check for damage.

they should def have opening hole for valve stems and be 2 inches wide. That looks to be one in your pic.
