68 Hood release handle and dash fasteners

68 Hood release handle and dash fasteners

Hello I’m in need of a 68 hood release handle and brackets also need 8 dash fasteners 3/8 double sided studs? I tried to attach pics but having a hard time.

Are you needing just the handle, or the complete assembly? The reason I ask is there were two different hood releases used on the 1968 Cutlass/442. One is a paddle that you lift up, the other looks more like a heavy wire loop that you pull. I know this has been discussed before and I'll try to find an old thread with photos. John

Here's the pictures 68cutdog was trying to post. The top picture is what he has. The bottom picture is what he believes he needs. To the guru's out there, his car was built the first week of May (05A) so should he have the paddle or pull ring?

he should have the pull handle that you have pictured and rocketscientis does have those pieces. verified today when I went to get some parts from him and he's great to deal with and not parts poor.

As if having all those parts you needed was not enough

I now also have a eyewitness who can testify to that & apparently does without any provocation on my part you got it like that I plan to research this matter copyright it and sell it to any and all who are interested as well as the only reproduction part I can say is as good if not better than OEM fender 2 core support spacers for a 68 a body they're $50 a pair and are superb
