'68 A-Body Rear window escutcheons

I'm looking for a pair, left and right, 1968 442 rear window lower corner plastic escutcheons. In the drawing, they are represented by "21." The part numbers, if it matters, are 7738772 and 7738773 for black. I would prefer black, but If you have them in some other color, I'm OK with painting them.

Thanks,
Rich

Rich,
I may have a pair left but if not they do reproduce them now. I still have a lot of my stuff packed up from the Homecoming show & it may be a day or two before I find them.

Thanks, Scott. That is what I'm looking for. Do you think yours will cleanup sufficiently to hold a fresh coat of black paint? If not, who is making/selling them new/aftermarket? I've checked Fusicks, OPGI, Y1, and Legendary so far and have come up blank.

I think they will clean up just fine to be painted. I'm sure you know these things are potato chip fragile though. I know I have seen them but I'm not sure who reproduces them at the moment.

Stick with the originals.....I don't think the repros have the small steel "insert" around the screw hole which may make them "weak" relative to originals. As you probably already know, don't crank down the attaching screws real tight and you'll be fine.

Does your year use CHROME screws to hold these in place? (I know 70-2 use a chrome screw).

Are you attending the OCA Nats this year in New Mexico?

The screws that were holding mine in are chrome plated, but I won't swear they are the originals. I'm owner number three or four of the car and the fellow I bought it from did a "fair" job of restoring a project into about a "30-footer," LOL! It does have the original 400 and M20, but both the exterior and interior colors were changed (painted/dyed interior). It also had the shifter/lever from a non-olds vehicle. I guess I'm saying the bones are good, but some of the bells and whistles are non-original.

Unfortunately I won't be attending the Nationals. At least I don't have current plans in that direction. It will be difficult for both the wife and I to coordinate time off together at this late stage. We are both still holding down W-2 jobs
