68 442 ignition switch connector

Doe

does anyone have one of these connectors in better condition than mine? It’s for the ignition switch on a 68 442. Thanks!

Unfortunately, no one repros that connector (well, SOMEONE makes them, because the aftermarket harness companies have them but won't sell them individually). I find this surprising since the same connector was used on 1968 Camaros and you'd think every single part on those cars was already repro'd. One way around this is to use the switch and matching connector from the early 70s C10 pickups, which are available. Not correct, but functional. Apparently this is what the Camaro guys are doing. Good luck.

Joe,
Have you read Any about fitment issues or should it slide right into the existing ignition socket without issue? Thanks for your information!

I personally have not tried this, only read about it on Camaro sites. Sorry I don't have better info.

68 442 ignition switch connector

I recently sold one from a Cutlass to a Chevy guy, for his Chevelle. He said that it worked fine. I'll see if I can find another one on a "parts" harness.

I've got this one. No melted plastic. Nice tabs. $20 plus the shipping.
