67 cutlass front hood chrome strip suggestions

My 67 Supreme is being repainted ( same color ) The front hood piece is definetly worn. Sorry that I don't have a close up picture but you can see the chrome piece on the hood ( I hope ) It's kind of blistered down the channel...not real bad but will clash with the new paint job. I have searched the web for a new one one but maybe I'm googling the wrong description. Can't find even a remake...Anyone? Or a decent affordable rechroming shop...

Thanks

I moved your thread to the parts wanted section. There are 2 chrome pieces on the hood, I'm assuming you want the one that runs on top down the center. People have advertised some here periodically. Someone will chime in.

Just a note you can clean those pieces up pretty nicely with some fine steel wool, water, and dish soap.

Also, try a good quality chrome / metal polish. I either use the Turtle Wax chrome polish or this stuff:

https://www.amazon.com/Aircraft-Tool...ywords=met+all

Both work great.

Yes, the Met All is good for all types of metal. I've used it on my chrome bumpers, stainless trim and pot metal.
