I'm looking for the actuating rod that releases the trunk lock for a 66 cutlass vacuum trunk release.

Good luck and fat chance. I need one too. There's another thread on here about this part and there are about 6 or 7 "me toos" on that one. I've been looking for about 7 years now. I've seen about a dozen of the trunk release set ups listed for sale on the good ole interweb over the time I've been looking, only two had the correct actuating mechanism, a couple had an incorrect rod which wouldn't work and the rest had none. Most sellers claim complete set up for sale and don't change the listing when it's pointed out it isn't complete and won't function without the actuator. Chevelles use this same part and those guys will pay stupid money for one.

 

One of our members Goldie442 is currently working on a steel replacement slip joint rod for this. He's working off a couple of original diecast ones I have.
