Arrow '66 98 Convertible Parts Needed!

I may be adding one of these to the fleet, and am trying to find parts before I commit! What I initially will need will be rt side qtr in fairly good shape...prefer no to very little rust. Possible left side clean qtr bottom rear of wheel and front of wheel. I would also need wheel skirts for both sides(not sure if the 4dr and 2dr coupes use the same?). I would also need a good rear bumper core, no rust and not bent.

On the front of the car, I would need rust free fender bottoms on both sides. If you have crashed fenders with rust free "heels", we can work a deal. I'm 99% sure these fenders are the same as an 88 model. Would also need front wheel opening moldings. If you have a real nice front bumper core, I could be interested. Thanks!

I have skirts and front wheel opening moldings but no sheet metal or bumpers. Front bumper parts are not too hard to find since they are common with other models. Rear bumpers are a bit of a challenge. I'm close by - send me a PM. Bruce

Thanks Bruce...The guy in CA Ross told my you helped him out with his '98 ! I was gonna try and track you down, now I don't have to! I went and looked at the car again today, and will get it up on a lift later this week for final inspection. After the deal is done, I will be getting in touch with you. I want to gather the parts I need asap....thanks! By the way, if you get this post before you get a PM from me, and can get pics of what you have, that would be great! Enjoy the rest of the weekend....

The wheel opening moldings are in very nice condition.
The left skirt is excellent.
The right skirt needs some minor body work.

Bruce, thanks for getting back quickly! I will be looking the car over for a final inspection by the end of this week(hopefully)! If I bring it home, I will be getting in touch with you quickly....you wouldn't also happen to have the trim for the skirts would ya?

I believe I do have some pieces although I would have to look to see what condition they are in. I'll get back to you on that.

This is what I found! They are not show quality but are all nice driver condition. If you want to go show, I have cores that could be rechromed.

I was on DVAP's site last night....they show a '66 convertible in the inventory with at least 1 good qtr. Also plenty of coupes! So I did the parts request and filled out the info, and they got back to me today saying they couldn't help me!??? After dealing with them in the past, I'm not so sure they give much effort out there......

After watching the DVAP restoration show on TV I would use them as a last resort.... Have not had a chance to look at those fenders, maybe this weekend.

I will be looking at it on the lift tomorrow or Fri eve....I want to have time to pull the rear seat out. I have been slowing the process down to see if I get any hits on qtr panels! At least the right side. The left I can fab the lower sections. The right was in a minor collision at one time, and has quite a bit of filler in it. It needs trunk drop downs and rear floor pans. Would anyone know if the pans are "shared" with a caddy? Other than that, I want to pull the trigger bad. My brother found a '67 88 vert not far from here on craigslist. Cali black plate car. Looked nice in pics. Nice driver. Wants 5K. Seems like a good price, but I like a '65 or '66 much better. Yes Joe, I saw the guy on e-bay. I sent him a message about qtrs but no response. I already know where I can find the other needed parts! Thanks guys!

No Go!

I was able to get the car on a lift tonite, and was pleasantly surprised to find the rust on the rear floor pan was minor! Just needs a small patch. The left quarter bottom wasn't too bad, and both side trunk drop downs were excellent! However, there was some frame rot on the driver's side from the trans crossmember to the torque box.....it is repairable, but I told myself the body mounts are probably also rotted. So I turned the car down for $2,000....thank you to bigoldscruiser and oldsmaniac for offering up parts! If anyone may be interested, I could send you the craigslist link....

Good move....frame rot is like having a horse with a broken leg....better off to put it out of its misery else it gets expensive..... There are a lot of these cars around and demand is small for them....even the 88's so they can be had cheap. I wonder why I hope to restore my 66 Delta conv while I have seen nice drivers around for the 5 G range....surely I will put more than that into this one.
