'66 442 Pulleys n Mounting Brackets

I need a set of pulleys and mounting brackets for my '66 442, it has power steering and a/c. Any advice as to what small block stuff would work as it had a 67 330 in it when I got the car would be great. I'm putting the 400 back in it.

I have everything you need. Fyi the crank Pulley for 66 is 400E or Toro specific

I'm 100% sure it's an E block.

I believe the PS mtg bracket may be BB specific, as it bolts to the block and the head prior to 1968.

Database says you want

JB 389645
3g
7.18 x ?? Crank Pulley, by no means peculiar to the E400, per Assembly Manual

WP Pulley
JH 391114
3g
6.4 x 2.8"
Also not peculiar to the E400

PS Pulley
JM 384678
1g
6.4 x 0.9"
Also not that special

Alt. # 1100733 [pulley # not listed?]

I used to have an NOS JB, but I think it's sold
Any others I have will be rusted

Do you have the pulleys and brackets from the 330. I have always used the same brackets and pulleys, some of the links will need to be moved but I have always had them work.

I think NICK1966 is right the 330 stuff should work, if not I have the 67 PS pump and brackets, for an A/C car and its a 9 out of ten in condition.

Cool beans
I was searching for other stuff in the garage and went over the pulleys

Found a pretty nice WP 3 groove JH type
and a good flat JM PS pump type 1 groove
can send photos via phone or email

JB crank 3g- nothing in town, maybe in the remote facility, which can take weeks to schedule an unpaid visit.

I had a 1966 Cutlass parts car that was non-AC but it did have California emissions on it. The power steering pump brackets were attached to the alternator bracket. I'm thinking the AC cars would have the same setup. Here's a couple pictures of what it looks like. Do you already have some of these brackets that you can use? I'm not sure these are available, but if Rob doesn't have everything you need let me know. John

If the 330 stuff will work, I think I have some of those, it's been awhile since I put them in storage, I'll have to go look. I know for a fact I'll need the mounting brackets for everything.

Ok, I went through my stuff and I found a p/s pump, pulley and bracket all still together, alt mount and bracket, water pump and crank pulleys are 3 groove off the small block that was in it. The big block I have has the 2 groove crank and wp pulley. Will they work on my big block?

I believe everything will bolt up, but I'm not an expert with this vintage so someone else will have to speak up on the brackets. I'd encourage you to not try and mix pulleys. Use all the 3 groove pulleys from the small block on your big block. If your staying with the AC you'll need that many grooves anyway. Also make sure you use the same length water pump on your big block as was on the small block. That will assure the belts line up.

So you still need the AC compressor brackets and maybe the power steering pulley? The other guys spoke up first so check with them to see what they have.

As mentioned above, take the entire set off the 330 and it should work fine on the BB engine.

Just verify that the WP is the same length on each, or get a new one same length as the 330 WP.

While you have the pulleys off and are cleaning and painting, look for the 2-letter ID and/or PN as I set forth above.
I believe I even provided diameter and overall width in case the pulleys are not stamped. Please use that information.

Thanks, for posting the numbers. I have boxes of unidentified pulleys and brackets ... I was hoping to identify, Also I believe I am the one who purchased that NOS crank pulley from you as I have one in a box. I believe it is the same for a 66 toro crank with a/c as I have another one pulled from a toro years ago. If the poster wants the other JB crank pulley let me know.

Maybe I should quit trying to think ahead and deal with it when I get to that point since all it's doing is overwhelming me with great info. After all, I'm rebuilding what was pretty much a shell, well, I did take it apart many years ago so now it's a shell. Seriously tho, much thanks for all your info everyone!! I'll post pics when major milestones are reached, I'm just about to send the motor out for rebuilding.
