455 misc. engine parts

When I bought this short block it was pretty well stripped. I need a GOOD 5 qrt. pan (if they ever made one) & pick up .... damper..... flex plate that will work with a 4l80e ..... 2 groove pulleys for crank and alternator and a good thermostat housing. I'm probably forgetting something but that will do for now. Thanks in advance, Dave

I have numerous engines, already disassembled, and any factory parts that you may need. A stock flexplate should work for you. You really need to match the pulleys with whatever brackets that you are using. Email me for pics, etc.: drolds1@bellsouth.net. Thanks, Bob.

The Toro pan is overrated. Keep in mind that it was designed primarily to clear the driver side differential and drive axles. There is a notch to clear the passenger side axle shaft. This traps oil in the front of the pan where it then can get whipped into a froth by the crank throws. The fact that it has extra capacity doesn't mean that you can use that capacity.

My error for not being more specific, no, I don't want the Toro pan. I wasn't sure if Olds made a stock 5 qrt. capacity oil pan other than the Toro pan.

If you have the room a big oil filter like Baldwin b9 adds some extra capacity

Yes sir thanks, I've got plenty of room, that B9 cross references to a ton of other filters also. I'm a fan of Wix filters so I'm sure they make a longer version.
