looking for a 1970 455 engine for a 70 442

A few more details would help you get more responses. First I'm moving this to the parts wanted section for you rather than the parts cars wanted.

Then if you'd post your city/state as shipping an engine can get spendy quick.

Finally, are you looking for a complete engine with 1970 castings or would any 455 block work? You could add the E heads and correct casting intake, carb, distributor, etc. later

I have a 455 from an SX early 1970 build, so it has a two barrel carb & intake with E heads. Am near Kalamazoo Michigan, price negotiable dependent upon how much of the engine you wantlet me know. Thank you

 

Where are you located?

 

I just thought I would let you know I have a Olds 455 that has been totally gone through. The block has been taken to a machine shop and cleaned or boiled. Then each pistion wall has been bored out .30 over also. Right now the block is setting on a engine stand with the camshaft, crank, pistsons, and timing chain assembled to it.
The heads have also been cleaned and bored out also for more air flow. the springs and valves are assembled to them as well. The rest of the parts and gaskets are still in the boxes that I purchased them in as well as the the Eldebrock 21511 intake peformer manifold too. Finally I have a Turbo 400 automatic transmission and converter to finish it off. I really would like to get $1300.00 if I could, but the price can be negotiated.
