Question 425 pistons

Cast, forged; standard or over bored; low, high or ultra high compression; with or without rods; location? I can help with some of the options listed. Thanks, Bob.

The search I posted goes right to a guy who's been selling a set for months, if you followed it.

Chris, those appear the "ultra high compression", with the minimal depression in the top.

That is so funny, you say that like it is a bad thing
That is what I asked the site to look up; other versions possible?

I think the non-running D block / C heads Toro 425 at $250 is a BARGAIN.

MD, the "search" link returns nothing for me also.

Bloody weird.

System must use that code number in the URL in conjunction with a short-duration cookie, because it won't work for me either.

Anyway, why not search "425 pistons"? (actually, it's the same as searching "pistons," because the board automatically ignores numbers, which, as you might imagine, is a brilliantly useful feature on an automotive forum )

If you do, this thread comes up 2nd after yours (it's the first hit if you search in "Parts for Sale").

This thread comes up about halfway down, and this thread comes up about a quarter of the way down.

And likely short on compression height like all other aftermarket cast pistons. Egge won't give you any specs to verify that, though (I called and asked), but a member measured a set of their pistons and reported back ~.020" shorter than factory spec.
