I have a 79 Cutlass Supreme it came with a 4.3L 260. The 260 was blown and I am needing to get a new motor hopefully with a little more power then the 260. I am looking for mainly 400 olds or a 350 olds. But if there is a 307 olds I will try and get it depending on the price. Please post if you have a motor for my 79 cutlass. It needs to be running because this is going to be my first car and my daily driver. Which is going to be hard considering gas. I am going to do my best to keep it in good condition. I have some plans for it also. The driver seat has a tare in it and i plan on fixing that. That is the only thang wrong with the interior. The exterior is in good shape plan on painting it and getting a new vinal top because some one vandleized it and carved the word D*** in it.

Looks like a good car. If you are going to use this car as your daily driver why don't you rebuild the 260? I know it isn't powerful but it will get you around town. Then you can pick up a 350 later and rebuild it at your leisure. Why is the engine blown anyways? If it is just a blown head gasket that would be easy to fix.
