3.42 ring & pinion for 7.5 GM rear

got another trans,
came out of 342 geared car,so i need to change gears.

He probably will need the carrier too. Deltas usually came with 2.41's

Highest you can go with the 7.5 2 series carrier is 3.08

3.42 gears thick also

I have sets of thick 3.42 gears for you that will solve allthose 2 -3 series posi or open carrier problems.

159.00 gets you a NEW set of thick 3.42 gears.

How much do those fat gears weigh in comparison to a stock set?

lol. ??? About the same weight as a spacer plate...lol. ??? I do not understand the questions reasoning... Shipping is flat rate up to 70# You not going to gain or loose horsepower etc. Please elaborate the question further.

Just thinking out loud I guess. I know it won't matter on a 7.5 delta.

Andy, you should consider buying that 8.5 73-77 Cutlass rear end that Monzaz has in the for sale section, and slapping in a 1" shorter driveshaft.
Throwing money at the stock rear end just doesn't make as much sense, and that 70's rear is a direct bolt in with bigger brakes.
