My 1947 olds flat 6 decided to give out on me looking for 238 flat 6 to put back in it thanks

I think rebuilding yours would be easier than finding another complete engine!

What's up with yours?

Well that sucks! Well you might want to check out central New Jersey CL. Someone had a 40 238 olds. engine for sale back in late May. It could come up for sale again?

Also it looks like DVAP has a couple of 40's on hand looks like one has been disassembled.

I think the 6 in my 41 parts car is. 46 or 47 but not sure what numbers to look for. The car runs fine but its still in the car and I'm in IL. Not sure how far you want to travel. Drop me a line if you have no luck.
