I am looking for the following parts for my 1073 Oldsmobile Delta 88 Royale

1. rear panel emblems
2. glove compartment lock switch , will not stay latched and constantly falls open whenever I hit a bump
3. Driver side sun visor will not stay up, do not know if I need to replace the arm.

Any help/suggestions is greatly appreciated. Thanks

 

If you're talking about the trunk lock cover it's gonna be hard to find. The lurex plastic insert just does not hold up. When I had my 73 Royale I got one for a 77-85 Royale which fit right and the red insert looked great against the Cranberry paint.

The glovebox lock can be adjusted. If you have the 1973 factory Chassis Service Manual (if not, you should get a copy) the striker adjustment procedure is in it along with procedure for removal and replacement of the lock cylinder.

You should be able to find a replacement nylon bushing for your visor. It will restore tension on the visor shaft and keep it up.

At least all yours does is drop down. The one on mine would regularly fall completely out of the windshield header. Too involved for me to fix it- the entire windshield frame had to be disassembled.

Your car is a convertible, right?

 

If you need the glovebox latch I have it.
if your car is NOT a convertible i have visors and brackets.
I sold the convertible visors & brackets I had.

yes it is a convertible. I will order the manual you suggested. Will the manual also show me how to replace the nylon bushing for my visor? Do you know if I can use another year lock cylinder or do I need to stick with 1973?, should I check ebay for the parts?

 

i believe I need the lock, the latch is in place, the lock just wont latch completely so drops down when I hit a bump. Can you send me a pic of the latch and the price incase I do need it?

 

As far as Latch I was at work already when I saw your message I have 3 das sections to remove them from I'll send pictures tomorrow if I have time.
