1972 Cutlass Supreme Trunk Tension Rods

Need to find a set of trunk tension rods for a 1972 Cutlass Supreme, I have a set from a Cutlass S, but they must be different because they are too long.

Hardtop or 'vert?

Never mind. I just saw your other posts. Do you have a measurement on the ones that you need? Thanks, Bob.

I'm not sure of the actual length, the originals are missing. The ones I have from a Cutlass S appear to be approx. 3" too long to fit into the brackets. Are the rods also different between converts and hardtops?

Would it be possible to just cut to size? Believe there three or four slots to set tension. Cut to length.

The three "slots" are to adjust the tension that raises the deck lid and holds it open. He's saying that the overall length of the rods, side to side, is too long.
