1970 Steering box

Need an original power steering Box with an early 1970 date stamp on cover along with an early casting date(1-80+-). For a 70 Cutlass.

Being a novice I need more info. What will the date code look like and where is it located

Call me and I can look through the seven I have, including the 1970 Vista cruiser. And I can do it tonight.

Tom
On the aluminum cover there is a flat pad. On this will be the build date. It will have a number from 1 to 365 designating the day followed by a 0 designating the year, in my case 1970.
The casting date of the box itself is cast into the housing just beside the aluminum cover between the cover and the frame of the car.

In all reality if the aluminum pad date is good the casting date will also be. The cover itself is not easily removed.

Let me know what you have
I can also give you a call if it is easier

I could post a picture as well if someone needs it
