1969 olds 442 Mirror
#2
If by 1 1/2" thick, you mean to match the remote mirror on the driver's door, be aware that they don't exist. The only passenger side mirror for a 1969 442 was the standard chrome manual mirror as sold by Fusick and others.

This at one time I also believed. But I have seen and held one. I've been told that these mirrors were also used on older models (delta - 98's). Have missed out on E-bay twice. Once outbid in closing seconds for the total of $230.00. So, Im just say'n I would like to have one, If any one can help me, please chime in. Rorbert

I've got a friend that is looking for exactly the same thing. Apparently the only difference between 68 & 69 is the length of the control cable.
Personally I would just go with the manual mirror as it isn't often that people actually change the passanger side mirror position anyway.

I've never seen one either, nor have I heard of them being in existence. However........
I once heard a story from an owner of another brand of US-made automobile (I don't remember the make or model) who was in the same predicament (wanted a matching passenger outside mirror to his driver side remote control mirror). I saw his car and both side mirrors matched and both were remote control. He told me he got the matching passenger side mirror from Australia (a right-hand drive country). I've often wondered if the '68-'69 Olds A-body remote control driver side mirror could be matched from the same car in a right-hand drive country. Just thinking out loud!

I must state again, "This mirror is a manual adjust (no cable) passenger side mirror." Nothing more than a "Deluxe Chrome Passenger Rear-View Mirror." Did not want to cause a fuss, just need a mirror so I can get out of the garage safely. I've seen them. Everyone with a 69 Olds wants one, sounds like a money maker. I do like the idea of using a drivers side and adapt to passenger side, sounds interesting. Keep it coming with the ideas. Thanks

Look up www.fusick.com and go through their on-line catalog. They make reproduction side mirrors that match the manually adjusted side mirrors that you could get on a 68 or 69 A body car. As I recall, they run about $60/each.
