Rear speaker 6"x9" 10 ohm

Yes that's real the radio that year was a am/fm MONO ---- stereo wasn't available on A-body cars that year --- & you always run the risk of blow the ballast resistor in the radio with any ohm value different odd as it might sound + the radio doesn't drive the speaker enough to sound clear

Wouldn't that be the output transistor and not a ballast resistor?

Yup your right I forgot I always see more internal damage then just the output resistor but that is the one that fails first sometimes it's the only thing that fail unfortunately for me a number of years ago on different A-body cars I always found more damage -- just lucky it guess lolBut I'm still looking for a rear speaker 10 ohm do if any of you out there have one I'm interestedThanksalsmith787

Rear Speaker 69 H/O

So did I growing up I always remember all speakers in those years being 8 ohm but believe or not Delco remi made provision for a range of 8-10 it's in some of their manuals & I've seen quite a few oem speakers that had 10 ohm stamped on baseAGAIN IF ANY OF OUR CHAT BUDDIES HAS a Rear Speaker in that era 6"x9" 10 ohm I'M VERY MUCH INTERESTED IN PURCHASING
THANKSalsmith787

Bought mine from OPGI, part #S240839 for $33.99. Sounds great. Be sure not to use anything but a 10 ohm.

Rear speaker

I believe this is the typical 1968-1972 Olds "A" body rear spaeker. Delco, 6 X 9 size, shallow dish, 10 OHM. This one is dated 1969, but I don't remember what car this one came from. It has been reconed and works fine. $115.00, includes safe insured 48 state shipping. PM me if interested.
