1969 Cutlass bumper jack
I need a jack, I have the base, the hook and the wrench.
I bought a nice original 1969 cutlass and was pleasantly surprised to find a super nice, original bumper jack in the trunk. Too bad the mechanism is broke. Can't lift a thing. It displays good but doesn't work worth a darn. I am hoping to get a really nice working jack to replace this one.
Thanks

I like the idea of a bumper jack for car shows. But to use on a driver I like the hydraulic bottle jack. I feel much more comfortable using a bottle jack to lift the car then sticking a couple wood blocks under it for safety. Many years ago I was underneath a 1964 ElCamino when I realized it was moving... the bumper jack was tipping over. I set all kinds of land speed records rolling out from under the car! Yeah I was young and didn't know what a jack stand was. But if you need to change a tire on the side of the road you may not be on level ground and probably won't have a jack stand either. Just my 2 cents
