Need a pair of NOS 403900 hood hinge springs.
or
Suggest repo new springs that will hold hood up.

 

I'm interested in this, too. The replacement springs I ordered from Fusick (p/n HS692 in an old catalog that I have) just don't do the trick. I've had to use a telescoping shower curtain rod at home and at shows to keep the hood from slamming down on me (or someone looking at the engine compartment).

I haven't actually installed them to see if they work as they're supposed to, but The Parts Place spring has the correct dimensions and turns count.
