Looking for a driver's side hood hinge for my '68 Cutlass

 

There out there but hard to find.

 

If I remember correctly, 68 Delmont, Delta and 98 use the same hinges as A bodies

 

Correct. Every 1968 Olds except the Toro use the same P/N hinges.

 

Toro used the same hinge with a bigger spring...

 

Actually a side by side comparison shows the toro hinge has a taller front arm, that would actually open the hood further than the std 68 hinge, not sure how that would effect function on a A Body. Like you stated Toro spring almost 2x the size.

 

1968 88/98 had an early style hinge, and a late style hinge. Early was attached to the hood by two bolts and late by three bolts (bolts nearest the windshild also held a small u-shaped spacer between the hood and the hinge). Attachment to the fenders was the same for early or late. The late style was used in conjunction with the newer hood that was designed to fold in a collision.
