My light has a bad burn mark that goes all the way through the plastic. Has anyone repaired/refurbished one of these? Maybe with off white epoxy, paint, etc?

I looked for a replacement. I found a 68 GTO - both repop and used OEM. It looks very similar. The switch design is different and the corners are more rounded. No dimensions given, so I can't tell if it would fit or not.

Any help is appreciated.

Before I finally found an NOS item, I experimented with wet sanding and scraping. You can remove most of the char from the inside. Using that crap material was continued into the 70's.

 

The Parts Place sells a repop version with a black **** instead of the chrome original. I believe it's like $40.00 been awhile since I seen the ad. Joe

First thing I do is replace courtesy, map and dome with LEDs. The factory bulbs are too hot. Leave a door cracked and by the next day, you may have a melt down.
