1967 442 radiator shroud

Need a factory shroud for a 67 442, automatic with air. Shipped to Spiro Ok, 74959. Is the Cutlass 330 shroud the same?

Shroud is listed in the parts book as v8 with CAC or hd cool so a 330 would be the same, Same part number is listed for 66.

Help

Would your 67 442 happen to be a automatic on the floor ? If so is there anyway you could measure from where the firewall meets the floor back to the shifter front and back bolts and also measure where the console front and back mounting brackets are for the console.? Thank you very much.

The 442 is a friends, cannot answer your question without popping the console. Post your question in the open forums to get an answer from one of the other members.

Eric what is the matter with the one you have? I had to repair a few cracks in mine, and what I did was I got a piece of plastic and used my soldering gun and actually "plastic welded-melted" the cracks with the piece of plastic. works like a charm and strong too.

A mechanical engineer showed me that technique. Simple but it works and the better you get the smoother the repair and less sanding. I used a piece of black plastic and worked out just great. Most of the shrouds left for these cars are damaged somewhat anyway. From my experience 8-9 years ago the fiberglass repos were junk in my opinion and sent mine back...

I've got one of those plastic welders and used it to fix the bumper cover on my sons Mustang. It turned out pretty good.

They were rare, not on all of them, they're desirable, and they break. I've got two of them and wouldn't turn one loose for under 250.

Not for my hobbies, no. I play the stock market. I don't sell Olds parts, although I may after my project gets done.

The option is not CAC, it's CCC, climatic combustion control, and refers to that years "heat riser" air cleaner that had vacuum valves for air temp.

Thanks Jolly

The option CAC is referenced on many parts in the Oldsmobile Parts Books.

CAC - Climatic Air Control (Air Conditioning) makes perfect sense for the part numbers it's referenced on

For example, Dashpot 401159

Every parts book I've ever seen calls it Car Air Conditioning:

So maybe they changed it to a more technical term "Climatic Air Control" in the late 60's? Either way, it looks like it means the same thing - Air Conditioning.

I don't see that term in any 1967 literature. The A body line could receive something called C60, Air-Conditioning, Four Season. There was no C.A.C for a 67 A body.

What you're seeing is C61 Comfortron Air Conditioning, available on the bigger cars. This was an early attempt at thermostat regulated AC.
