1966-67 Toronado Wiper motor

Good day all,

My wiper motor seems to have completely died again. I'm looking for a replacement and I understand the '66 and the 67 used the same wiper motor. Anyone have one available?

I took mine apart and I see nothing wrong, however it shorts out any power supply you connect to it immediately when tested on the bench.

PN written on mine is 4915858, thanks!

IDK if I have any NOS, I will need to look up the actual part number but I should have several used. I'm not sure how to test one off a car but can prolly figure it out. Good used would be $75 plus shipping. Contact me at 618-554-4362 if interested. Regards Pat

Hi Pat, definitely interested. Testing them off the car is super simple, just need a couple jumper wires.

Sorry for the delay. Just got back from homecoming. Low, high and park bench test normal. Let me know. Crusty on the outside and could probably use new grease inside.

Well I managed to find one locally. Found one off of a 1965 Impala today and it's a dead ringer for mine.....even the washer pumps are interchangable so I guess I'll hold off on your unit for now. Thanks for the offer and if mine packs it in again, maybe I'll hit you up. The USA-Canada shipping is the killer for me so if I can find the items here in Canada it makes it much easier, except there's very little available here anymore.

Note to ourkid...please dont start two threads on similar subjects. It makes it difficult to search. It helps the next person zero in on what solved the problem.

Eric(s) please combine his two threads. https://classicoldsmobile.com/forums...bility-179932/

ourkid I have addresses of several rebuilders that will make the old motor new. I'll post them when I'm home. I'm about to send my 68 442 motor in. So I did a little research.

This is a "parts wanted" thread......I just updated it to show that I found what I needed locally and no longer need the part from Pat.

ourkid, I apologize. I was in the new thread posts tab and saw the posts stacked.
I wrote a couple of forum etiquette stickies for other forums, I'm a bit oversensitive to bad forum habits.

Again sincere apologies. That will teach me to slow down and pay attention.

Good to know other makes will interchange. Thats good knowledge for Toro owners.
Dont toss that (possibly) original motor.

Thanks
Steve

Oh no apologies necessary! All good my friend. Yes, I will keep my old motor because it turns out the only thing wrong with mine is the relay board and the resistor. I should be able to salvage those parts out of another motor and get mine all fixed up. I got some good video recordings of the smoking resistor I should post.
