New to Early Oldsmobiles. My 16 yr old son has a 1962 Oldsmobile with 9.3” Rear End. We are trying to restore the 11” x 2” Brakes and need a Drivers Side Replacement Backing plate, Spreader Bar, Parking Brake Bracket, etc. Any suggestions is appreciated. Thx Sharp.

Jan 65 parts book indicates 59-62 except F85 (88/98/Starfire) use the same backing plates.

"62 Oldsmobile" covers a lot of models. What's the boy got?😎

With that big mother of a rear (9.3") it would have to be a full size car.
And with the 11" X 2" brakes, it would be the the big cars. The 9.3" was very popular. People would narrow them and put them under Anglia's, Fiat's, ****** and such.
Wayal, in 1962 there are DYNAMIC 88s, SUPER 88s, STARFIREs, and NINETY EIGHTs.
There are six D88 bodystyles, four S88, two Starfire and five Ninety Eight. Just wondering which permutation of those the boy has.
Worth noting that in 1962, Oldsmobile was the only GM Division that didn't field a B-body two-door sedan. All full-size Oldsmobile two doors were hardtops.
We did but the Fabcraft 9.3 Pontiac / Oldsmobile Rear End Manual.
Unfortunately it narrows down the Year & Date & Make — BUT NOT the Model.

Had 1 “Big Bell” Drum and the 11”x2” Brakes does have self adjusters. I had backing plates sandblasted today with NO Markings or Part # Visible.
