Need help in locating a 1956 super 88 front wheel hub, any help would be appreciated.

 

I've got one from a 1955. Not sure they interchange, so we'd need some help from the Guru's to find out. But its available if it will work for you.

Yes, I'll get some pictures for you. I'm pretty sure these have right and left hand threads on the studs. Which one do you need? What I have is still on brake drums, do you want the drum too or just the hub? Also if you would send me a PM with your address I'll get a shipping estimate as well as purchase price.

The drivers side is left hand, as in "lefty tighty-righty loosey"

Well, I've soaked the center hub and bolt holes on the drum. Then I used a press to try and knock out the studs. I saw the drum flex, but wasn't getting any of the bolts out. If I need to try something else please let me know. Otherwise... here's some pictures of the hub and drum assembly. John

 

Lots of heat, they should come out. You might try your press and heat at the same time.....Tedd

 

John, you need to drill the head of the stud off, then drive them from the INSIDE out.

 

Wow! The didn't make it easy did they! I've offered to sell Terry a complete hub and drum at a reasonable price and let him do the removal. But shipping is spendy from the West Coast to Florida for the hub and drum together since he only needs the hub. If anyone in the Southwest can help him go right ahead and see if you can provide the part at a better price than I could. John
