Where the hood release handle passes through the front end do you have a nylon bushing that the handle passes through?

 

I am pretty sure I don't have a one with an inside hood release. Out of 12 cars.

Looking for the outside mirror mounting plate that attaches to the car. I have a 1967 toro, but the 1967 cutlass mirror looks the same. Would you have a mounting plate for sale? If so, please send a pic and price.

Hi, do you have or see much for the full sized Olds? I have '76 Ninety Eight's.

 

I usually stick to 66-72 models and hardly ever a full size car. I currently have a 67 Toronado I will sell as a complete car but otherwise nothing in your category. Thanks for checking. Larry

 

Would you have a mirror mounting plate for the outside mirror for a 1967 Cutlass/Toronado? It is the fixed (not remote) mirror.

I have another 66 2 door hardtop on the way it is a Cutlass based car loaded with trim and some cool options. Automatic car, with AC. Look for more info in a few weeks when it gets home.

There's nothing wrong with friends or family paypal payments.

 

It gives the buyer no protection.

 

How well would some of the suspension off your 70s cutlass cars work on my omega

 

Protection from who? The way I see it,why should a seller lose part of the sale as a convenience to the buyer? It saves the buyer time not having to go get a money order,bank check or cashiers check,he should pay the fees or send it as friends.

 

Paypal is designed for the seller to pay the fees out of his price. You could simply raise the price a few percent and thus make the buyer pay. The idea is that paypal is convenient, and if seller A has an item and takes paypal, and seller B has the same item and does not, seller A may just win the sale based on the buyer having more convenience by using paypal. Paypal thinks you should tip them for their helping you win that sale.

Granted, on old car parts, it doesn't work that way, and a disturbing amount of people are like "yeah, I'll do paypal, but send it friends (basically lie) so I don't accrue fees) or you can just go get a really inconvenient form of payment X if you don't like it."

I usually just pay the fees since I try to have some semblance of honesty.

 

Let me see if I have this right.....Your saying that when someone buys from you that they Need protection? The only protection that paypal offers, is from unscrupulous sellers, that are either selling junk incorrectly described parts, or a seller that doesnt send the parts and keeps the money.

So you're saying that avoiding paypal fees is dishonest? I sold a 65 Corvette engine on eBay for $2500,by the time eBay/paypal got their part,I realized $2275. They got nearly 10% of the sale. I'm for anybody making a $$$ but they have taken it to a level that's nearly obscene. You can sell a car on eBay for a million dollars for less fees than I paid on a $2500 engine. So,how can that be? it's simple,they are gouging sellers because they can. I know this isn't about eBay selling but they and paypal are one and the same,so if they lose a little on a friends paypal payment,so be it.

 

I am saying that, when you conduct a goods and services sale on paypal, but mark it as friends and family, you are not telling the truth about the nature of your transaction. Whether or not you want to do that is not really a matter of moral introspection, but rather, it has to do with where you are if the sale goes south. There is no purchase protection on something listed as "not a purchase."

We should probably let Larry have his thread back. Got any non pitted automatic shifter levers / tilt levers?

 

I do not think we have anything to worry about on this forum we all trust each other here and are honest so sending it as friends or family shouldn't worry anyone just my .02

 

What year? 67 I assume? You can take a turn signal lever and make a tilt lever if need be. I think 67 used the same tilt lever as the 68-70 cars,that should make the hunt a little easier.

Yes, 67....I should put some pictures up sometime.

I'd love to find a cruise control turn lever, I have everything but that (for the cruise, oh, a speedo cable too). I am not sure which years interchange.

 

According to Fusick,67-70 is the same on the tilt levers. That opens it up somewhat for availability. Another idea is getting them out of big cars,a lot more of them had tilt/cruise than the A-Body cars.

 

I don't have a tilt lever that I can remember that is really nice.

As for selling a car on ebay. It is a straight $50 to sell a car on ebay. No final value fees or what ever. The down fall is that it is $50 every time it is listed. But, not to defend them (ebay) at all. As they do charge allot. But, where else can you advertise world wide for a week with many pictures and a huge desciption for $50 a week?
